about

Cordial Recordings are proud to present a series of recordings from the Julian Nicholas Band across three albums, with the combined title of ‘Rising Cost of Love.’ These recordings were originally released on the three formats of a Cassette in 1992 (Mountain People), a CD in 1995 (Square Groove) and a CD-R in 1997 (Heavy Plant Crossing). Julian Nicholas is a well-respected saxophonist from Brighton that has been a regular performer in the UK for the past three decades. He is also known as the co-promoter of the South Coast Jazz Festival. Julian brought together a collection of great players for these recordings that we feel deserve further acclaim. This first album has the name ‘Rising’ and features a collection of music that hopefully will inspire you to reach for higher goals.
